Sitting on Aunt’s dining table, João does his homework. Over the towel lay a huge flower pot. One of those pots you put over the table so you know where the center is, or simply because dinner tables, when no one eats on them, become sad and ugly like that, with nothing on them.

Sentado na mesa de jantar da Tia, João faz os trabalhos de casa. Sobre a tolha repousa uma enorme floreira. Daquelas floreiras que se põe em cima da mesa para que se saiba onde fica o centro, ou simplesmente porque as mesas de jantar quando ninguém come nelas ficam tristes e feias, assim, sem nada em cima.
